Harold “Bob” Robert Ropson Bob Ropson, 62, Dyckesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, November 10, 2016, with his loving family by his side following his third battle with cancer. He was born on November 24, 1953, to Harold and Rita (Vandervest) Ropson, in Green Bay. He married his perfect match, Lynn Huempfner, on July 3, 1981 at St. Louis Parish in Dyckesville. Bob worked in the concrete flatwork business for many years, most recently as owner/partner of Bayside Concrete Construction until his second battle with cancer in 2014. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Mountain, WI with his family and friends, four-wheeling, and fishing for walleye on the bay of Green Bay with his buddy Davie. He is a past member of the Great Lakes Sport Fisherman Club, having served on the Board of Directors. Bob was a kid at heart and loved decorating for Halloween and Christmas and dressing up as Santa for neighboring family and friends. He was a long time member of St. Louis Parish, Dyckesville, where he ushered for many years and served on the building and grounds committee. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Lynn, and their three children, Robert, De Pere; Joshua, Green Bay; Jill (Robert) Delcore, Luxemburg; his black lab Tess, stepmother, Donna Morgan, Ripon; one half-brother, and five half-sisters, Blane (Bella), Middleton; Kerri (Dale) Prellwitz, Milwaukee; Kim, Marshfield; Kris (Rich) Carley, Omro; Kathleen (Joseph) Mkwaya, Ripon; Jolene (Jeff) Denzin, Ripon; one step sister, Hannah Morgan, Cedarburg; two sisters-in law, Ann (Gary) Boerst, Cecil; Julie (Randy) Kallies, Lake Mills; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, beloved sister Karen DePas, father-in-law Francis Huempfner, mother-in-law, Joanne Hansford, and brother-in-law Philip Huempfner. Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday, November 13, 2016 at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Closing parish prayer service at 7:00 pm with Pastoral Leader, Pat Ratajczak. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am, Monday at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Funeral 11:00 am Monday at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating.
