Berdina A. Lemens, 84, of Luxemburg, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 17, 2017 at Oak Creek Assisted Living, following a battle with cancer. She was born on April 20, 1932 in the town of Luxemburg to the late William and Louise (Monfils) Sconzert. On May 15, 1954 Berdina married Harold J. Lemens at St. Hubert Church, Sugarbush. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She worked with her husband Harold as owners of Lemens Hardware in Luxemburg for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Ralph Kline American Legion Auxiliary Unit 262 in Luxemburg and Christian Mother Society of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. She enjoyed golfing, reading, gardening and lets not forget listening to polka music and polka dancing. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Harold and their children, Randel Lemens, Sturgeon Bay; Karen (Gary) Sitzman, WA.; Tom (Jeanie) Lemens, OR.; Jerome "Jerry" (Julie) Lemens, VA.; David Lemens, James (Becky) Lemens, all of Luxemburg; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Jessica, Hayley, Caroline, Nicholas, Sydney, Dominic and Tabitha; one great grandchild, Isaac; one brother, Mark (Darlene) Sconzert, Luxemburg; two sisters, Jeanette Sconzert, Green Bay; Carol (Jerry) Simonar, Luxemburg, one brother in law and three sisters in law, Lucille (Jonas) Barbiaux, Luxemburg; Irma Daul, Green Bay; Janice Lemens, Luxemburg; nieces and nephews. Berdina was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Vernon Sconzert and Kenneth Sconzert, two brothers in law, Harold Daul and Leonard Lemens, her father in law and mother in law, George and Mary (Gauthier) Lemens. Friends may call 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2017, at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, (Sugarbush) 5930 Humboldt Road, Luxemburg. Combined closing parish prayer and Ralph Kline American Legion Auxiliary Unit 262 service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, between 9:00 and 10:45 am. Funeral 11:00 am Friday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
