Richard L. Debauche

Richard L. DeBauche Richard L. DeBauche, 75, New Franken, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday evening, January 28, 2017, following a long battle with CMML. He was born in Green Bay on June 09, 1941 to the late Norrie J. and Alice A. (Champeau) DeBauche. Richard served in combat in Vietnam as a member of the 1st Air Calvary, Co. A, 1st Battalion, 5th Calvary, air assault. He was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. Upon returning from the war he married Dene Soquet and they celebrated 48 years of marriage. He was a home builder for 18 years with Basten Construction and had the honor of building his own home by hand. He drove school bus and then worked as a Supervisor at Shopko Distribution Center for 18 years. He ended his career by spending two years at SuperValue. During this time he also served as Town of Scott Treasurer for 23 years. During his lifetime he enjoyed playing the saxophone in two polka bands, the Rhythm Boys and the Roamin Tom Cats for over 30 years. Richard was an all around handyman who could fix almost anything. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Grindle Lake and loved to travel. He was known for making the best frying pan onion soup ever! Richard is survived by his wife Dene; their children, Dee (Dave) Krivoshia, Green Bay; Dan (Carol) DeBauche, Green Bay; Lisa (Wayne) Schwendeman, Greenleaf; grandchildren, Draven, Raine and soon to be born baby Schwendeman; step grandchildren, Patrick (Sara) Krivoshia and Lauren (Jon) Krivoshia; and step great-grandchild Katherine Krivoshia; one brother, Robert DeBauche, Green Bay; one sister, Anita (Richard) Bosetski, Pilsen; brothers in law and sisters in law, Donna (Jim Schultz) Menzer, Sheboygan; Don Jr. (Carol) Soquet, Luxemburg; John (Linda) Soquet, Green Bay; Joe (Wendi) Soquet, Green Bay; Pat (Terry) Ratajczak, Dyckesville; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son Wayne, his parents, his father in law and mother in law, Donald Sr. and Laverne Soquet. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg, memorial service 6:00 pm. Parish prayer service led by his sister in law, Pat Ratajczak, Pastoral Director, 7:30 pm, Tuesday. Visitation will continue Wednesday, February 01, 2017, between 9:15 am and 10:45 am at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Funeral 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church with Rev. John VanDeuren and Pat Ratajczak officiating. Full military rites following the funeral. Final rest at the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum. www.mcmahonfh.com.
