Renette C. Brand

Renette C. Brand Renette C. Brand, 72, New Franken, died early Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Mellen, Wisconsin on December 25, 1944, to the late Rudolf K. and Dorothy M. (Brand) Bonitz. On July 19, 1967 she married Robbin D. Brand in South Carolina. She was an RN, employed with various hospitals finally with Bornemann Nursing Home, Green Bay, retiring in 2009. Her enjoyments included reading, cross stitch, quilting, sewing. Renette was very active in her church. She was instrumental in creating quilts with the Ladies Service Guild of St. Paul Lutheran Church, making quilts for nearly 500 families in the USA and overseas. She also volunteered to assist at funeral luncheons and fund raisers. She loved gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robbin, and their children, Jeffrey (Patricia) Brand, Luxemburg; Jessica Brand, New Franken; Jeanette Blum, Green Bay; Jeremy (Jodi) Brand, Ellisville; four grandchildren, Maria, Jordan, Katherine and Matthew; one brother, Reginald (Ruth) Bonitz, Mellen; one sister, Rose (Melvin) Krause, High Bridge; nieces and nephews. Renette was preceded in death by, one daughter, Jennifer Brand; one son, Robert "John" Brand; her father in law and mother in law, Robert and Phyllis Brand. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:30 to 7:30 pm, Friday, March 31, 2017. Closing parish prayer service 7:30 pm on Friday. Visitation will continue between 10:00 and 10:45 am, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral 11:00 am Saturday at the church with Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montpelier. A special note of thanks is extended to the Drs. and staff of Aurora Hospital and Unity Hospice for care and compassion given to Renette.
