Tyler D. Whitmire Tyler Douglas Whitmire, 22, Luxemburg, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 22, 2017. He was born in Green Bay to Michael Whitmire and Amy Benz on March 03, 1995. He was a 2013 graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School. Immediately upon graduation Tyler fulfilled a lifelong dream and enlisted in the United State Marine Corp. serving most of his time in Okinawa, Japan. While in Japan he married Lilly C. Lucas on April 06, 2017. He was employed with Securitas as a security guard. Tyler was member of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg where he actively participated as a Mass server and lector. His enjoyments included playing football, working out and spending time with his family, especially his niece, Audrey. Survivors include his wife, Lilly, MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, Japan; his mother and stepfather, Amy and David Riedy, Luxemburg; his father, Mike Whitmire, formerly of Green Bay; two brothers and one sister, Trevor Whitmire; Ethan Whitmire all of Luxemburg and Abbey (Adam) Nelson, Green Bay; one niece and one nephew, Audrey and Adam Jr; two step-brothers, Dan (Natalie) Riedy, Crivitz; Alen (Jess) Riedy, Coleman; paternal grandparents, Richard and Darlene Whitmire, Green Bay; his godmother, Karen Wheatley, WI; his godfather, Marshall Whitmire, Green Bay; his mother in law, Ann Lucas, Bloomington, IN; his father in law, Greg Lucas, Bedford, IN; two sisters in law, Lexie Lucas, Bella Lucas, both of Bloomington, IN; one brother in law, Zac (Olivia) McCameron, Bloomington, IN; one half-sister in law, Presley Lucas, Bedford, IN; Lilly's paternal grandparents, Earl and Janice Lucas; one nephew, John McCameron, as well as many aunts, uncles and friends. Tyler was preceded in death by, his maternal grandparents, Douglas and Linda Benz; his step-grandparents, James and Delores Riedy. Visitation will continue 9:00 to 10:45 am on Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 am on Monday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg with full military rites at graveside. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Tyler's memory.
