William “Bill” G. Ciha, 63 of Luxemburg died late Saturday evening, October 14, 2017 at Bellin Hospital. He was born in Green Bay on February 10, 1954 to the late Frank and Gladys (Haen) Ciha. Bill grew up on a dairy farm in Luxemburg the oldest of five children, Tom, Dick, Jim, Barb and Gerri. He married Karen M. Patton on August 19, 1978 at Our Nativity of Our Lord Church, Green Bay. She preceded him in death on August 04, 1992. He was employed with Fort Howard Paper Mill now known as Georgia Pacific until his retirement. Bill spent much of his time on his great passion of woodworking. As he drove, he would notice every fallen tree on the side of the road and would be ready to go back, get it and make it into lumber. When he was not taking down trees, making lumber at his sawmill, dreaming up wood projects from magazines, he was building beautiful pieces of furniture. His legacy is found in these pieces of art made with such care and attention to detail. Bill did not often meet a stranger when he walked into a restaurant or store. He was always ready to crack a joke, to laugh with someone and to make a connection with the person he was with. He found joy in watching, joking and spending time with his grandchildren, Asher and Addie when he made his visits to his daughter Stacy and her husband Jesse’s home. He lived with his son Andy on the family farm and enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, Jeanne. Bill will be missed as a father, brother and friend. He brought smiles, laughter and a willing attitude to always help whoever came across his path. Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 017.
