Robert E. Mleziva, 83, of Pilsen died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 07, 2017. He was born on August 27, 1934 in the Town of Montpelier to the late Wenzel “Jim” and Pauline “Stella” (Kucera) Mleziva. On April 14, 1956 he married Marion J. Kubetz at St. John Church in Krok. He served his country in the United States Army in the Reserves from February of 1956 to August of 1957. A graduate of Luxemburg High School he continued his education with a trade school for electrical work. Bob began his career with Kewaunee Engineering (ten years), later running his farm in Pilsen full time. He was a 50-year member of the Catholic Financial Life and WFLA Insurance. He also was a member of the National Farmers Organization for 35 years. His enjoyments included teaching his grandchildren how to do farm work and drive tractors. He loved parades, fireworks and family get togethers. He especially loved waltzes and polka music while dancing with his wife. Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Marion and their children; Debra (Jeff) Noyes, Kohler; Dennis (Reyne) Mleziva, Green Bay; Lois (Jay) Van Zeeland, Suamico; Carol (Daniel) Kane, Denmark; Susan (Richard) Vertz, Sun Prairie; his grandchildren, Jesse (Michelle) Noyes; Shannon (Jeff) Engel; Tania (Josiah) Pledl; Jason Noyes and special friend, Stephanie; Terry (Starr) Mleziva; Jay Engebos; Rebecca Brown; Sydnie and Riley Van Zeeland; Amanda and Sarah Kane; Kendra and Erin Vertz; his great-grandchildren, Henley and Hudson Engel; Andrew Noyes; one sister, Fran (George) Stahl, Luxemburg; sisters in law and brothers in law, Delores Mleziva, Green Bay; Elizabeth (Richard) Freitag, Green Bay; Helen (Tom) Fischer, TN; Joan Stodola and friend John Stahl, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Mleziva; three brothers in law and one sister in law, Anthony (Margaret) Kubetz; Robert Kubetz; Michael Stodola. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Monday, December 11, 2017 at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Pilsen. Funeral 11:00 am on Monday at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating.
