Gary “Buzzy” J. Lutzke, 72, Luxemburg, died on Monday morning, January 29, 2018, with his family at his bedside. Gary had lung disease on top of having survived multiple heart attacks, a stroke, cancers and other maladies. He was born on November 24, 1945, in Manitowoc to the late Norman and Christine Lutzke. Gary married Beatrice Kudick on November 26, 1966, in Pilsen. He worked for Ellisville Dairy for many years. In 2007, Gary retired from Lakeshore Enterprise. Gary loved hunting, fishing and fidgeting outdoors with his tools, chainsaws and other knick- knacks. His memory for old deer hunts and adventures as a lumberjack was long and impressive. He came from an old school life of hard living in the woods. Gary worked as a truck driver, factory worker and other handy trades. We’ll all remember his caustic sense of humor, where he needled our soft spots to watch us react. Gary remained resilient in his health battles until just the past few days. Gary will be deeply missed by his wife, Bea; 3 sons, Mike (Diane), Bill (Lori) and Andrew Lutzke; 6 grandchildren, Heather Haucke, Christine (fiancé, Brandon), Michelle, Ashley (special friend, Jessie), Billy (special friend, Riley) and Christopher Lutzke; one great grandson, Blake; one sister, Lovie Lensmire; one brother in law, Gene Springtube; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by 4 infant children; 3 siblings, Darlene, Jeanette and Norman Jr.; one brother in law, Donald Lensmire (01-27-2018); and his wife’s parents. Friends may call 9:00 am to 10:45 am at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Pilsen on Friday, February 02, 2018. Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pilsen. McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG is assisting the Lutzke Family. www.mcmahonfh.com We’ll love and miss that grumpy old man forever. He may go in the ground, but he’ll be with us in our hearts. Gary’s Family would like to thank the Staff of St. Vincent Hospital for their care.
