Laurel G. Joniaux Laurel G. Joniaux, age 86, Luxemburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Autumn Fields Senior Living Community. Laurel was bon in Luxemburg January 21, 1932 to the late Edward and Blanch (Gilson) Joniaux. He graduated from Casco High School in 1949 and went on proudly to serve our county in the U. S. Coast Guard. On August 17, 1957 he married Sandra Agamaite at St. Louis Church, Dyskesville. Laurel worked for the Kewaunee County Highway Department retiring after 38 years of service. He also raised his family on the home farm in Thiry Daems. Laurel loved fishing and hunting with his sons and grandsons and had so many great times at “the cabin”. He looked forward to the “Joniaux Camping Adventure” every summer. In his later years he loved it when all of his 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren would come to visit. Laurel is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra; four children, Cheryl (Dennis) Dufek, Luxemburg; Lynn (Mike) Mleziva, New Franken; Mark (Linda) Joniaux, Robbie (Heather) Joniaux, all of Luxemburg; 12 grandchildren, Matt (Patti) Dufek; Dana (Phil) Prusinski; Nicki (special friend Hunter); Carrie (Brandon) Spude; Amy (Jeff) Werth; Danielle (Brandon) Alexander; Ashley (Chris) Hanold; Kristin (Rob) Delimat; Kelsey (special friend, Trav); Logan (special friend Christine); Lucas and Hunter Joniaux, 17 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, James, Emily, Phinehas, Benjamin, Isaac, Brianna, Owen, Claire, Colin, Lincoln, Easton, Chase, Braelynn, Brynlee and Harper; four god-children, Chris Waldow; Chris Joniaux; Perry Dalebroux; Jessica Pearson; one sister and one brother in law, Jody (Larry) Vandertie, Casco; one sister in law, Annette Joniaux, Dyckesville; four sisters in law and three brothers in law, Yvonne Pennings, New Franken; Evelyn Agamaite, Dyckesville; James (Linda) Agamaite, Florence; Art Alexander, Martin (Sue) Konop, all of Green Bay. Laurel was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron Joniaux; Raymond (Fern) Bouche; one sister, Shirley (Ervin) Vandermause; five brothers in law and five sisters in law, Ken Landwehr; Felix Jr. (LaVonne) Agamaite; Garland Agamaite; Donald (Jean) Agamaite; Jack Pennings; Gloria Alexander; Diane Konop; Donna Agamaite, his father in law and mother in law, Felix and Gladys Agamaite. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 2:00 to 5:30 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Closing parish prayer service with Cheryl Maricque at 5:30 pm on Sunday. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, Champion. Funeral at 11:00 am on Monday at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating. Full Military rites will follow the funeral Mass with the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg.
