Bernice B. Gruetzmacher, 87, Luxemburg, died Friday evening, July 12, 2019 at her home. She was born in Kewaunee County on January 21, 1932 to the late Edwin A. and Edna A. (Treptow) Dahlke. On May 8, 1954 she married Hilbert H. Gruetzmacher at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2003. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served on the Flower committee, Service Guild, especially quilting. Bernice retired from the Luxemburg Clinic, where she and her husband enjoyed working side by side cleaning the building in the early morning hours. She especially enjoyed baking for her family and spending time with them. She was a loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took care of all of us. Survivors include her children, Neil (Debbie) Gruetzmacher, Kewaunee; Deborah Delebreau, Candace (Roger) Krohn, Darcie (Chan) Junio, all of Luxemburg; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Gruetzmacher, Stacy Gruetzmacher (special friend, Tim Karolewski), Matthew (Cara) Delebreau, Sonya Delebreau, Lacey (Dustin) Jerabek, Ashley (Tom) Daffinson, Zachary (Marissa) Krohn, Chance Junio (special friend, Kiara Ayotte), Mackenzie Junio; three step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, Garrett, Madelyn, Emma, Lukas, Aeva, Ellie, Mason, Hadley, Sophie, Cali, Lily, Isla, Emri and Kynli: six step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister in law, Lois Dahlke, Luxemburg, nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by one son, Kevin; one granddaughter, Tiffany Krohn; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Daffinson; two brothers, Ortwin Dahlke, Gordon Dahlke; brothers in law and sisters in law, Rahlen (Elfrieda) (Bernice) Gruetzmacher, Gladys (Lester) Dahlke, Leonard (Angeline) Gruetzmacher, Helen (Ernest) Treichel. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 4 to 6:30 pm on Friday, July 19, 2019. Parish prayer service, 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral 11:00 am on Saturday with Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson officiating.
