Dale A. Bouchonville

November 16, 1934 — June 26, 2023

Dale Alphonse Bouchonville, 88 of Dyckesville, went to be with his Lord and Savior and to reunite with his loving wife of 66 years Joan, on Monday, June 26, 2023. Dale died at his home with his loving, caretaking, family at his side. He was born in Dyckesville to the late Harold L. and Eunice M. (Wautier) Bouchonville on November 16, 1934. Dale was united in marriage to Joan Sherry Franda on September 5, 1955. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2022. They were lifelong members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Champion. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Dale will always be remembered for his love of family, sense of humor and his many entertaining stories. His family carries on the traditions that he loved and shared for fox, coon, bear and deer hunting; crab trapping; wrestling; and trap shooting at the New Franken Sportsmen Club where he received many trophies for "Top Gun". At an early age, Dale began working at Tillman Landscaping and he and Joan also ran a family farm. Dale later began working in construction as a laborer and pipe layer for Chapel and Amenson. In 1968 he began what became a 29 year career with DeKeyser Construction, Green Bay. He retired as a crane operator on January 1, 1997. Dale was very proud of his union brotherhood. He wore his hats and jackets regularly and often struck up conversations with strangers about this. In 2019, he received a lifetime membership award in recognition of 50 years of membership in Operating Engineers Local #139. Survivors include his four children, Dennis (Debbie) Bouchonville, Jean (Mike) Mercier, Dan (Patti) Bouchonville, Bonnie (Rick) Agamaite; sixteen grandchildren, Eric (Natalie) Estel, Lindsey (Ryan) Jelle, Travis (fiance Jelly) Bouchonville, Sara (Bahlal) Dahabiyeh, Jodi Alsteen, Chad Alsteen, Nick (Jane) Alsteen, Bill (Mary) Alsteen, Katie (Chris) Jansen, Sadie Mercier, Jackie (Dustin) Mercier, Justin (fiance Jenny) Bouchonville, Jesse (Becca) Bouchonville, TJ (Megan) Agamaite, Steven (Katie) Agamaite, April (Jeremy) Pingel; 35 great grandchildren; one sister in law Cleo Franda; nieces and nephews. Dale was welcomed into eternal life by his wife Joan, his parents Harold and Eunice Bouchonville, Mother in law and Father in-law Herbert and Eleanor Lenius, sisters in law and brothers-in-law Shirley (Donald) Wautier, Ervin (Jeanette) Franda and Kermit Franda. As per Dale's wishes the funeral was held privately at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Champion and his body was laid to rest at the Shrine of the Good Shephard Mausoleum, Green Bay. The family would like to thank family members and special friends who reached out or visited during Dale's last months. Also, a special thank you to Unity Hospice. With their help and support, family was able to fulfill Dale's wish to spend his final weeks at his home. McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, assisted the Bouchonville Family. www.mcmahonfh.com
