David A. Schweiner, 73, Luxemburg, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, from Parkinson's disease. He was born August 18, 1951, to the late Jacob G. and Rose A. (Forest) Schweiner. David served in the United States Airforce from October 1969 to October 1973. He then went to work for DeCleene Truck Repair and Refrigeration for 42 years. David married Joyce F. Schultz on July 12, 1974, at St. Lawrence Church in Stangelville, WI. David loved to deer hunt on the family homestead. He liked going for walks, playing cards, the Green Bay Packers and most of all loved spending time with his granddaughters.
David is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Jason Schweiner, Nicole Schweiner and Jessica (Todd) Hope. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Abigail (special friend, Mitchell), Alayna and Madalyn; Katelyn (special friend, Hope), Kaylee and Kelsee. David is further survived by his siblings, Art (Sandy) Schweiner, Arlene (Vince) Vogel, Dorothy (Tom) Konop, MaryAnn (Gary) Szydel, Carol (Dennis) Bradley, Francis "Butch" (Laurie) Schweiner, Daniel (Sharon) Schweiner, Julie (Darrel) Szydel, Joann (Dennis) Selner and Jerry (Bonnie) Schweiner; sister-in-law, Janice Perleberg and brother-in-law, Willard Schultz; many nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his daughter in law, Julie Webster-Schweiner; his father, Jacob George Schweiner; his mother, Rose Agnes (Forest-Schweiner) Kralovetz and stepfather, Matt John Kralovetz. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Jakie and Dennis Schweiner; his father in law and mother-in-law, Albert and Loretta Schultz; brothers-in-law and sisters in law, Vernon Perleberg, Orville and Delores Schultz, Edward and Harriet Bosdeck, LaVerne Schultz; nephews Todd Konop, Darrel Schultz, and Rodney Bosdeck.
Visitation will be held between 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, WI. Closing prayer service 6:00 pm with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue between 1:15 and 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, 2770 Bay Settlement Rd, Green Bay, WI. Funeral service 2:00 pm, Thursday with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens, with full military rites provided by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg.
