Dawn Stirn

Dawn Michelle (DeJardin) Stirn, 50, of Dyckesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 25, 2024, of multiple organ failure.

She met her great love, Terry Stirn, when they were students at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, at a snow-filled Halloween night dance. They wed on August 2, 1997, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dyckesville and soon after they purchased their family home next door to the church. In 2000 they joyfully welcomed their first child, Renee Elizabeth. Two years later they were blessed to welcome their second child, son Isaac Terrance.

Dawn was a long-time middle school reading and language arts teacher at Franklin Middle School in Green Bay. She had a passion for education and loved her students through the joys and struggles of middle school.

Dawn experienced life-long health struggles, but it didn't keep her from living her life fully. She orchestrated fun travel adventures both near and far for her family, crafted, hunted, cheered on her kids, baked and decorated elaborate birthday cakes, and reached out with care to friends and loved ones to the very end.

Dawn is survived by her husband Terry; her children Renee "Ren" and Isaac; her parents, Mike and Diane DeJardin; her sisters-in-law Melissa Stirn, and Laura (Shawn) Gritzmacher; her step father-in-law Benny Partin; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by Terry's parents, Mary and Bob Stirn; her uncles Dale Breitlow, Bob Schilling, and Ralph Koglin; and two cousins Justin Delain and Ben Delain.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 8:30 - 11:30 am at St. Louis Church - Dyckesville. A prayer service will follow at 11:30 am.
