Dorothy "Dottie" A Zellner

Dorothy “Dottie” Zellner, 84, New Franken, passed away on Thursday August 26, 2021, in Green Bay. She was born on July 18, 1937, in New Franken to the late Henry and Caroline (Dorner) Burkart. Dorothy married the love of her life, Russell Zellner, on July 6, 1957, at St. Kilian Church in New Franken. They celebrated 64 years of marriage. Dorothy was a loving mother and homemaker. Her enjoyments included playing cards, volunteering at church, bowling, traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed caring for children in her home. The noise and laughter of little voices were a delight to her. There was always room at the table for one more! Music and singing often brought dancing in the kitchen. The aroma of something “warm” in the oven brought a sense of love and comfort to all who entered her home. Survivors include her husband, Russell, and their children, Larry Zellner, Robert (Sue) Zellner, Laurie (John) Strebel, Julie (Lloyd) Baenen, Jeanne (Scott) Stilp; one daughter in law, Leslea (Declan) Crowley, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (Joe) Piecheck; one brother, John (Joanne) Burkart; brothers in law and sisters in law, Leonard (Dolores) Zellner, Cy (Donna) Zellner; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bill Zellner; one daughter in law, Karen Zellner; one sister, Pat Landowski; brothers in law and sisters in law, Elmer (Dora) Zellner, Elsie (Augie) Haen, Alvin (Eleanor) Zellner, Loretta (Bernard) Le Roy, Albertine (Raymond) Paye, Clarence (Germaine) Zellner, Richard (Rosella) Zellner, Betty (Raymond) VandenPlas. Friends may call 1:00 to 4:15 pm on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at St. Kilian Church, New Franken. Closing parish prayer service at 4:15 pm with Pastoral Minister, Cheryl Maricque. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 11:15 am on Monday, August 30, 2021, at St. Kilian Church. Funeral 11:30 am on Monday at the church, with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating.
