Earl Peter Martin, 71, Luxemburg, died early Monday morning, July 15, 2024, at Autumn Fields. He was born in Algoma on August 25, 1952, to Earl Edward Martin and the late Eleanor (Beyer) Martin. Earl was a 1970 graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School and participated in wrestling and band. He then went on to St. Norbert Seminary for a year and half in hopes of becoming a Priest, but life took him in a different direction. Earl enrolled in the Acme Institute of Technology in the Town of Manitowoc. He completed his training in the Tool Die and Machine Engineering program while working at Mirro Aluminum Company in Manitowoc. Earl worked at several companies in the state including Peterson Builders Inc, Foth and VanDyke, Baisch Engineering, and for the last eighteen years of his working career at Scientific Protein Laboratories LLC as a Designer/Drafter, and weekends at Walters Co-op.
Earl enjoyed anything to do with aviation. He was a lifetime EAA member and would volunteer at the fly-ins, many times as a tour guide for one of the last few flying B-17's called Aluminum Overcast which he was lucky enough to fly in six times! Earl also led a Chapter of Young Eagles, which is a group that introduces young people to aviation. His other enjoyments included motorcycling, RC Planes and anything Tech.
Earl will be sadly missed by his father Earl E. Martin; two brothers and two sisters in law Dave (Dorothy) Martin, James (Ann Kuehl) Martin; three nephews Brad (Darci) Martin, Ross Kuehl-Martin, Jason (Carly Kaczmarek) Martin; two nieces Amanda Theis, Tiffany (Kevin) Grabian; five great nephews and great nieces William, Viktor, Saffron, Ivan and Anika; many other relatives and friends.
