Garfield C. Davister, 81, of Luxemburg, died Friday morning, October 6, 2023, at a local hospital. He was born in Brown County to the late Clarence H. and Rose Ann (Krines) Davister on December 23, 1941. He served his country in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. On April 24, 1965, he married Rose Marie Lardinois at St. Joseph Church, Champion. She preceded him in death March 13, 2013. Together they ran a dairy farm in the area for many years. Survivors include two children, Eileen Davister-Rud (Melvin), Chilton; Scott Davister, Luxemburg; two brothers, Mike (Kathy) Davister, NC; Clarence (Laura) Davister, Little Suamico; one sister, Judy (Mark) Lallensack, Green Bay; brothers in law and sisters in law, Orville Jr. (Judy) Lardinois, Champion; Eleanor (Kenneth) Kassner, Slovan; Janice (Kenneth) Sampo, Dyckesville; Barbara Lardinois, Champion; Virginia Lardinois, Scott; many nieces and nephews survive. Garfield was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie; his parents; two brothers, James Davister and Dean Davister; his father in law and mother in law, Orville Sr. and Laura (VanderVest) Lardinois; brothers in law and sisters in law, Marvin Lardinois, James Lardinois (friend: Joyce), Carol Bertrand. Friends may call between 9:30 and 10:45 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sugar Bush, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Funeral 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating. Burial in St. Hubert Cemetery, Sugar Bush. Full military rites at graveside provided by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg.
