Gaylord “Fluff” J. Flavion, 71 of Luxemburg, died peacefully, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Helping Hearts CBRF in Luxemburg. He was born in the town of Lincoln on October 13, 1946 to the late Gerald and Ruby (Collins) Flavion. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 serving in combat during the Vietnam War, returning home in 1968. He was a member of the American Legion Post 319 in Casco. Fluff was employed with the Luxemburg Milling Company for 46 years until his retirement. He bartended at D & B’s, Doc and Jean’s, Luxemburg Bowl and Burdick’s throughout the years making numerous friends. His enjoyments included bowling, playing cards, following the Brewers, Packers, Badgers and local high school sports. His sense of humor and ability to make people laugh will be a character trait we will remember. He had a special love for his family especially his two grandchildren. Survivors include his two children, Karen (Chris) Smallcomb, NV; Kevin Flavion, Luxemburg; two grandchildren, Savannah and Carson; four sisters, Anna Mae (Dan) Dahms, Forestville; Diane (Dennis) Junion, Casco; Joan (Tom) Salentine, Casco; Colleen (Dave) Tymus, Greenleaf; many nieces and nephews. Fluff was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Russell Flavion; many aunts and uncles. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, 1:00 to 5:30 pm on Monday, May 28, 2018. Closing parish prayer service 5:30 pm on Monday. Visitation will continue at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg between 9:00 and 10:40 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Funeral 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg with full military honors at graveside.
