Gerhardt F. Dahlke, 97 of Luxemburg, died early Saturday morning, October 20, 2018. He was born in Denmark on January 22, 1921 to the late Walter and Louise (Borchardt) Dahlke. Gerhardt served his country in the United State Air Force during WWII. On May 31, 1947 he married Marian M. Nighorn at Robinsonville Presbyterian Church in Champion. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2012. He ran a dairy farm in Ellisville while doing custom field work and driving milk truck, retiring in 1983. Gerhardt was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. His enjoyments included great lakes fishing, bowling, playing cards, dancing the polka and hop waltz and helping his son in law with field work. Survivors include his three daughters, Sandi and LeRoy Nelsen, Ellisville; Jan and Dan Collin, Neenah; Bonnie and Kevin Laundrie Luxemburg; eight grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters in law, Nancy Dahlke, Green Bay; Judy Nighorn, Green Bay; nieces, nephews further survive. Gerhardt was preceded in death by, two brothers, Edgar (Vivian) Dahlke; Elden Dahlke; brothers in law and sisters in law, Marvin (Althea) Nighorn; Wilmer (Blanche) Nighorn, Rita Nighorn; Merlin (Adeline) Nighorn; Donald Nighorn. Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier, between 9:00 and 10:40 am on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Funeral 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church with Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery with full military rites at graveside by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 from Luxemburg.
