Irene J. Decremer

On Friday, March 11, 2022, Irene J. DeCremer, age 93, left us to be reunited with her husband in Heaven. She was born September 6, 1928, in the town of Namur to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Dubois) Splingaire. On June 15, 1949, Irene married Roland J. DeCremer at St. Mary of the Snows Church in Namur. Together they enjoyed almost 72 years of marriage until their tragic automobile accident which took Roland’s life less than a year ago. Irene was an extremely hard worker, between farming and being employed at Schrieber Foods for many years. She loved keeping busy and enjoyed traveling, but her greatest passion was her beautiful flower gardens. Her faith was a very important part of her life and visited Our Lady of Good Help Chapel, several times a week. The most important thing to Irene were her grandchildren. They meant everything to her, and her great granddaughter was the light of her life. As per Irene’s wishes a private funeral ceremony was held. Irene was laid to rest alongside her husband at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Miss Me But Let Me Go….. McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG is assisting the DeCremer Family.
