Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Vickman, 83, Luxemburg, peacefully slept away early Tuesday morning, June 4, 2024. She was born Jacqueline Ann Retzlaff on November 5, 1940, in Green Bay to the late John W. and Ada M. (Frisque) Retzlaff. She attended Preble High School, Green Bay graduating in 1958. Jackie met her husband Lawrence “Larry” J. Vickman and were united in marriage on May 7, 1960, at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Church. Together they lived in Green Bay and a short time later they moved back to the family homestead farm in Sugarbush, raising a family of six children. Jackie, in addition to being a wonderful mother, also worked on the farm and then became a bus driver for Luxemburg School District transporting students with special needs. She worked at East Shore Industries in Algoma and worked for several years with Special Olympics. As a volunteer at Aurora Medical Center in Green Bay, Jackie would knit caps for infants and could be found leading and assisting patients to their destinations, offering comfort with her warm and tender smile. Jackie is survived by her husband Larry of 64 years, her children Shelley (Ed) Wendt, Bellevue; Jody (Larry) Wypishinski, Eaton; Douglas (Jill Kruse), Stangelville; Jennifer (Eric) Krause, Marion; Tina Vickman, Sugarbush; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jackie’s brothers and sister include Joan Umentum, DePere; Judy and Andy Dobesh, Denmark; John and Sue Retzlaff, Mount Horeb; Pam and Randy Matzke, Bellevue; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her infant daughter Angela Marie Vickman; her parents John and Ada Retzlaff; one brother Bob Retzlaff; one sister Carol (Bernie) Linnsen; her mother in Law and father in law Sylivia and Joseph Vickman. Friends may call between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Sugarbush. Funeral 11:00 am on Tuesday with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
