Luxemburg – Larry A. Braun, 78, of Luxemburg passed away in the late hours of Saturday, January 2, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born on May 24, 1942 in Algoma to the late Earl and Jeanette (Plinske) Braun. On December 2, 1978 he married Karen (Dalebroux-Tebon) at St. Augustine By The Sea at Waikiki Church in Honolulu, Hawaii. Together they raised their six children. Larry started his career as a meat cutter at SureWay, and then worked for two years as a machine operator at Algoma Plywood Corporation. In 1965 Larry took over his father’s car repair business in Algoma and worked as a mechanic/owner operator. In 1968, he purchased a Dodge franchise and named it Riverside Dodge, where he began selling new cars. In 1978, he sold the business to Jones Dodge and became their Sales Manager. He was a proud member of the Algoma Fire Department for 14 years. His love of fishing led him to getting his license to be a Charter Captain out of the Port of Algoma. After 32 years of chartering, he retired running the “Cub II”. In 2005, he retired his working career as a Supervisor, after 24 years, at the WPS Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant. After retirement, he enjoyed running errands for Dart’s Auto. His other enjoyments were the cabin in Armstrong Creek, bowling, baseball, golfing, hunting, snowmobiling, traveling, the Packers and the Brewers. He also enjoyed listening to polka music and spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Karen and five children, Debbie (Jeff) Dart, Dan Braun, all of Casco; Kay (Bucky) Van Ark, Bellevue; Butch (Lori) Tebon, Luxemburg; Kelli (Jack) Tuttle, Sturgeon Bay; eleven grandchildren, Justin, Jenny, Danny Jr, Ashley, Cory, Brent, Mariah, Lance, Amanda, Jackie, Josh; twelve great grandchildren; his siblings, Dale Braun, Algoma; Jim Braun, Casco; Carol (Jim) Euclid, Kewaunee; one brother in law and one sister in law, Wencil Dalebroux, Green Bay; Muriel Seidl, Luxemburg; nieces, nephews, neighbors and many wonderful friends near and far. He was preceded in death by his parents; four of his children, an infant son, Wendy Braun, Kim Tebon, and Keeter Tebon; his father in law and mother in law, John and Irene Dalebroux; his sister-in-law, Donna Dalebroux and brother-in-law, Harold Seidl. Friends may call between 9:30 am and 11:15 am, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg.
