LEAH MARIE ROACH Leah Marie Roach (nee Todt) was born June 10, 1932 in Keyport, New Jersey to Robert and Evelyn (Chinery) Todt. After 16 months of determined living with leukemia, Leah went Home to be with her Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ on December 17, 2018. Leah was born and raised by the Jersey shore and loved the sound of the sea. She trained as a nurse and worked as an RN in the operating room before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Tom Roach. They were married December 19, 1953 and raised six children together. In 1967, Leah cheerfully packed her household goods and six children to move with Tom to a small fishing village in Nova Scotia where they spent the next 43 years serving the Lord together in full-time ministry. Mama Roach, as she was affectionately known, had a true servant's gracious, warm heart, a loving smile and an excellent listening ear. She blessed the many souls with whom she came into contact all over the world. The past 8 years Leah lived with her daughter Sue and son-in-law Dan in Wisconsin for assistance in helping care for her husband Tom until his Homegoing in January 2018, when circumstances led her to Oak Creek Assisted Living in Luxemburg, WI the last 9 months of her life. She enjoyed visits from family and friends, knitting wee hats for the orphans in Malawi, Bible studies and dominoes with her ladies group, and her weekly harp "therapy" sessions with Tammy. Her room rang with laughter, song and prayer. Many thanks to those who added joy to her final months. Leah is survived by one brother, William(Mary)Todt of Red Bank, NJ; her six children: Henry(Jill)Roach, N.Carolina; Elaine(Herb)Nickerson, Nova Scotia; Susan(Dan)Doran, Casco, WI; Eunice(Foo Wing)Chin, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia; Timothy(Elaine)Roach, Casnovia, MI and Mark(Peter)Roach, Calgary, Alberta; 19 grandchildren: Nathan Roach, ME; Heidi(Danny)Allan, NH; Jennifer(Jason)Johnson, IA; Paula (Daniel)Voicu, Romania; Philip(Kim)Nickerson, Nova Scotia; Joel(Nicole)Nickerson,Nova Scotia; Anna (Viorel)Vasile, Nova Scotia; Beth(Alan)McGillivary, Nova Scotia; Faith Mayienda, Nova Scotia; Brendan (fiancee Stephanie Bessler)Doran, WI; Jonathan(Brittany)Doran, WI; Brianna(Luke)Wilkerson, IA; Gregory, Benedict and Sidney Chin, Malaysia; Alison(William)Hayhoe, Newfoundland; Kyle Roach, MI; Meg and Will Roach-Romeo, Alberta; and 24 great-grandchildren: Jake, Isaac, Elizabeth, Anna, James, and Caleb Allan, NH; Kathryn, Michael, William, and Matthew Johnson, IA; Joanna, Joseph, Philip and Priscilla Voicu, Romania; Lucy and Edmund Nickerson, Nova Scotia; Olivia Nickerson, Nova Scotia; David Vasile, Nova Scotia; Levi Mayienda, Nova Scotia; Cormac Doran, WI; Riker and Roland Wilkerson, IA; Kira and Marie Hayhoe, NFLD, with 2 more expected in the coming year!
