Leon "Leo" T Rys

Leon “Leo” T. Rys, 86 of Luxemburg, formerly of Buffalo New York, passed away Saturday, January 02, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Buffalo on April 10, 1934 to the late Michael and Helen (Wanat) Rys. On March 19, 1959 he married Grace Galusczka in Buffalo, New York. She preceded him in death August 08, 2020. Leo retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1972, serving in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. In 2002 he and Grace made their home in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. Survivors include one son, Larry (Connie Kafka) Rys, NC; two grandsons, Evan Rys, ND; Eric Rys, NC; one sibling, Jane Zanlack, TX. Leo was preceded in death by one son, Michael Rys; ten siblings and his parents. A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, with Rev. Mark Mleziva officiating.
