Marjorie A. Tlachac

November 18, 1935 — April 2, 2023

Heaven has truly been gifted with an angel; an angel who has touched so very many lives and will be so sadly missed. Marjorie A. Tlachac has joined our Lord and Savior and her beloved husband, Eddie on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Marjorie was born on November 18, 1935, in Kewaunee County, to the late Anton L. and Evelyn T. (Hoffman) Daul. She married Edward J. Tlachac Jr. on September 3rd, 1956, at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg and they joyfully celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends prior to Eddie preceding her in death, October 15, 2016. Marjorie wore many hats throughout her life and working career; but her most important job was raising their six children. Once the children were in school, she started working at Northbrook Lumber and Feed. After three years there, she accepted a position at the Luxemburg-Casco Junior High School in Casco, leaving after 17 years to care for her mother. During this time, she also managed Tlachac’s Village Inn with her husband for 18+ years. Margie touched so many lives while serving the elderly of Kewaunee County every week as well as serving banquets and of course, open dining. Margie was a member of the Christian Mother Society at St. Mary Catholic Church in Luxemburg. She was a Cub Scout leader for over seven years and she very much enjoyed spending time with the residents at the local Assisted Living facility on a weekly basis. Margie along with her husband were honored with the first annual “L-C Football Fan of the Year” award for over 40 years of supporting their sons and grandsons who played on the football team. She very much enjoyed time with her family “up north” at their cottage and watching her grandsons play in the Legion League baseball games. As a devout Catholic, she enjoyed going to the Chapel several times a week. You would not be able to leave Margie’s house without a variety of fresh vegetables from her garden in summer, which seemed to get bigger and bigger every year. She had a love for flowers as well and many a friend would stop by to pick some for their homes. There was not one football player for the past 20 years who did not have any of “Gramma Margie’s kneecaps!” She loved to make these for her grandsons’ football “pasta parties”, many times over 250 of them each time. Margie’s homemade pies were the subject of many fun rivalries in the family as to who was going to get the biggest piece, or just stealing the entire pie! Margie was extremely proud of her granddaughters as well and attended many of their functions including summer softball league, concerts, pageants, Tai Kwon Do competitions, and other various school events. Surviving Margie are her six children; son Rod (Claire), Luxemburg, their sons Tyson (Katybeth), Justin (Breanna); daughter Robin Tremel, Luxemburg, her daughters Arielle (Quinn) Tenor, Olivia (special friend Trevor); son Randy (Patti), Arizona, their children Rebecca (Kee), Celeste, Jeremy; son Rick (Nancy), Green Bay, their children Eric (Laura), Lynessa (special friend Jordan), Matthew (Danielle); son Ron (Kim), Luxemburg, their sons Travis (Janelle), Lucas (Liz), Austin (special friend Hanna); son Ross (Korina), Luxemburg, their children Mitchell (Anna), Megan (special friend TJ); 13 great grandchildren; Braelyn, Baileigh, Jack, Cash, Natalie, Hailey, Lillian, Tyas, Ava, Evelyn, Jace, Emmett, Leo, and two more bundles in the very near future. Also survived by sisters Barbara Jean DeNoble, Sharon Ettien, and Debra (Randy) Heukens; brother Brian (Cruz Delia) Daul; sisters-in-law Barbara Daul, Veronica Boucher, Rosemary (Roger) Beirl, Julaine Tlachac; brother-in-law Alan (Donna) Tlachac and many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Margie is preceded in death by her husband Ed, parents Evelyn and Anton Daul, mother-in-law and father in law Jennie and Edward Tlachac, Sr.; brothers Anthony, Donald (Janis) Daul, Francis Daul; brothers-in-law Roger DeNoble, Irvin Ettien, James (Myra) Tlachac, Francis Tlachac, Kenneth Tlachac, Hamlin Boucher; sisters-in-law Genevieve (John) Buhr and Veronica Ann Tlachac; nephews Jason Daul, James Beirl, Paul Beirl and great nephew Tyler DeNoble. Visitation for family and friends will be at St. Mary Church, 1406 Main St, Luxemburg on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 3:30-6:30 PM. Closing vigil service at 6:30 pm with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue between 9:30-10:45 AM, Wednesday, followed by an 11:00 Mass of Christian Burial with Reverend Daniel J Schuster officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg. McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, is assisting the Tlachac Family. www.mcmahonfh.com In lieu of flowers and other tokens of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established in memory of Marjorie A. Tlachac, for St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Oak Park Assisted Living for the love and care they showed our mother and their “Gramma”. Mom, we know how much you missed your beloved husband and now are reunited with Dad, and no doubt, are already making him a chocolate cake! We are very proud to be called your children and of how strong and hard you fought the past three years. You may not be here in body but forever in our hearts, our Mother, our Matriarch. We love you, the six “R”s!/1935
