Mary D. Peters, 79, a longtime resident of Luxemburg, WI, went to her eternal home on February 2, 2021. She was born on May 30, 1941 in Kewaunee, WI to the late Louis and Lillian (Forst) Ledvina. On October 20, 1962 she married Lawrence Peters at St. Joseph Church in Pilsen. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2004. Mary’s passion in life were her family and her Catholic faith. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially her rye bread. She appreciated catching up with others while playing cards. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph and St. Philip the Apostle Parish. She worked and volunteered many years at St Joseph Church and St. Vincent Hospital. She was always willing to go without in order to give to others. We all know mom will be upset that we are giving attention to the love and the generosity she showed her family and to strangers. Survivors include her nine children, Angela Peters Green Bay; David (Ladd Smith) Peters, Spokane, WA; Amy (Andrew) Rockhill ,Waukesha; Daniel (Debra) Peters, Balsam Lake; Donald (Dawn) Peters, Waunakee; Dennis (Mindy) Peters Luxemburg; Annette (Don) Derenne, Luxemburg; Dale (Jaclyn Raisleger) Peters, Green Bay; Dominic (Bridget) Peters, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren Dakota, Brock, Katelyn, Ryan, Olivia, Evan, Paige, Hunter, Spencer, Avery and Dane; siblings: Nancy Lensmire, Gerald (Joan) Ledvina, Richard (Nancy) Ledvina, John (Linda) Ledvina, Louis (Donna) Ledvina, all of Luxemburg. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; one brother in law, Gerald Lensmire. Friends may call at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Pilsen between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Friday, February 5, 2021. Funeral 11:00 am Friday at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating and Christal Wavrunek assisting. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pilsen.
