Noris Joseph Jadin, aged 84, passed away on Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at St Vincent Hospital, Green Bay with his wife by his side. He was born on September 14, 1939, to the late Albert T. and Libbie (Mercier) Jadin. Noris grew up on the Jadin family farm near Champion and graduated from Luxemburg High School. Shortly after high school, he joined the Wisconsin National guard and was stationed for a year at Fort Lewis near Tacoma, Washington. On October 20, 1962, Noris married Shirley Irene Nellis at St Louis Catholic Church in Dyckesville. They moved into their home near Dyckesville and raised their family. Noris began working at Fort Howard Paper in Green Bay in 1963 until his retirement. After a short retirement period, he worked many years part time for Dental Health Products of New Franken, a job that that he truly enjoyed doing. Noris was an avid outdoors man that enjoyed hunting and fishing. Every autumn, he would bow hunt in the local woods for deer, and every summer we would head up to northern Wisconsin, Minnesota or Ontario for Walleye fishing. He also enjoyed traveling further to Alaska, Canada and the western US for big game hunting such as Moose, Elk, Caribou and Bear, as well as fishing when he had the time. Once the physical rigors of hunting became too difficult, he joined the Bay Area Bird Club, and enjoyed bird watching into his later years. Amongst his other activities, he enjoyed bowling, golf, travel and gardening. One of his favorite trips was to South Africa, where his son was living at the time. He was a member of the Belgian-American Club as well as a long-time member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 in Luxemburg. Noris is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley, his children David Jadin and Jennifer “Jenna” Jadin, daughter in law Estelle Louvel, brother Francis Jadin, sister in law Nathalie (Nellis) Beattie and many nieces and nephews. Noris was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Libbie Jadin, father in law and mother in law Victor and Gladys Nellis, brother Arnold Jadin, sisters in law Doris “Peggy” Jadin and Susan "Sue" Jadin, brother in law Roy Beattie and nephew Scott Barry. Friends may call 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Joseph Church in Champion. Closing rosary prayer service 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at St. Joseph Church. Funeral 11:00 am with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating.
