Norman J. Zellner, 87, Luxemburg, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Kewaunee County to the late Alois "Louis" Jr. and Catherine "Katie" (Oberhofer) Zellner on December 23, 1936. On June 18, 1958, Norman and Jean A. Martin were married at St. Odile Church in Thiry Daems.
He was employed with Luxemburg Milling Co while he ran a dairy farm in the area. He retired from the Milling Co. in 1979 and retired from farming in 2000. However, Norman then spent his time helping Glenn Rueckl Builders until he finally retired in 2004. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church. He was an avid bowler, receiving an award for a perfect game of 300 in October of 1988. He loved to dance to Polka music, play cards, and watch his children and grandchildren during their sporting events.
Survivors include his wife of sixty six years Jean, and their children Randy (Sheri) Zellner; Perry (Linda) Zellner; Pat (Shelly) Zellner; Chris (Dave) Gregorich; Scott (Brenda) Zellner; Rick (Sara) Zellner; grandchildren Steve (Sue) Zellner; Vicki (Matt) Swan; Diana (Tory) Achterberg; Allison (Pete) Barta- Ledvina; Kyle (Tessa) Zellner; Craig (Angie) Zellner; Eric (Jenna) Zellner; Abby (Tanner) Orde; Ken (Nicole) Gregorich; Katie (Jeremy) Lukes; Beth (Chris) Marcelle; Matt (Brooke) Gregorich; Cassy (Derek) Schultz; Michael (special friend Brooke) Gregorich; Alex (Alycia) Zellner; Evan Zellner; step grandchildren Jamie VandenHeuvel; Jeremy VandenHeuvel; Kristie Hassart; Danielle (Rob) Berger; Shanon (fiancé Jordan) Goral; twenty six great grandchildren, one step great grandchild; three step great great grandchildren; one sister in law Jlaine Zellner; one brother in law Earl Martin.
Norman was preceded in death by one step grandson Mike DeGrave;one grandson in law Andy Barta; two brothers and two sisters in law Alois (Marie) Zeller; Cletus (LaVerne) Zellner; two sisters and one brother in law Margaret (Harold) Johnson; Catherine Zellner; two sisters in law and one brother in law Arlene (Jim) Vandervest, Eleanor Martin.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:30 pm at the McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Closing parish prayer service 6:30 pm with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Monday, September 9, 2024, at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Norman's name.
