Raymond Ciha

Raymond "Ray" G. Ciha, 90, Luxemburg, died peacefully Sunday morning September 1, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Brussels on May 11, 1934, to the late Anton J. and Helen (Kinnard) Ciha. On October 26, 1974, Ray and Gloriann M. LeRoy were united in marriage at St. Amand Church in Walhain. He was a custodian in various industries all his life, retiring from Algoma High School in 1996, following twenty plus years of service. His enjoyments included cheering on the Green Bay Packers (he even attended the famous Ice Bowl Game), visiting with people especially Fr. Lukee Villaluz, Fr. Bill O'Brien and members of the St. Kilian Parish family, tending to his cars and his lawn/yard keeping each in meticulous condition, most of all he loved to spend time with his family and supporting their interests in sports, school, or animals.

Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years Gloriann, their children and families, son: Brian (Mary) Ciha and their children Michael (Lacey) Ciha and their daughters Sophia and Lily; Joseph (Kristy) Ciha and their children Adalyn and Bennett; Ricky (Marissa) Ciha and their daughter Peyton; son: Jay (Nickey) Ciha and their children Miranda (Daykota) Spaulding and their children Briella, Oliver, Thea; Madison Adams; Mason Ciha; daughter in law: Katherine "Katie" Ciha and children Anthony, Alex and Annalise; one sister in law Darlene Ciha; brothers in law, sisters in law Linda (Dan) Phillips; Gary (Julie) LeRoy; Bernie (Sue) LeRoy; Bonnie LeRoy; nieces, nephews, friends and parish family, further survive.

Ray was preceded in death by one son Gerald "Jerry" Ciha; his parents Anton And Helen Ciha; one brother Norbert Ciha; one sister Verna (Leland) Cornette; his father in law and mother in law Bernard and Loretta (Zellner) LeRoy; two brothers in law and one sister in law Glenn LeRoy; Diane and Tom Jeanquart.

Friends may call 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024, at St. Kilian Church, New Franken. Closing parish prayer service 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at St. Kilian Church, New Franken. Funeral 11.00 am on Saturday with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial in St. Kilian Cemetery, New Franken.

In lieu of flowers and tributes of sympathy a memorial fund will be established in Ray's name.
