Richard "Dick" H. Arendt, 77, Luxemburg, passed away early in the morning on Sunday, September 29, 2024, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Luxemburg on November 30, 1946, to the late Daniel P. and Gertrude C. (Treml) Arendt. He graduated in 1966 from Oshkosh High School. He was employed with Farm Building & Supply, later called Forest Construction in Luxemburg for 50+ years, where they became like his second family having been there through three generations of the Nimmer family and staff. His enjoyments included bowling and shooting pool, Elvis's music, and spending time with friends. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Luxemburg.
Richard is survived by his siblings, Thomas (Joan) Arendt, Algoma; Dan Arendt, Luxemburg; Jean Dalton, Green Bay; nieces and nephews, Becky (Jim) Lemens, Nicholas Arendt, Jimmy (Cindy) Dalton, Jason (Nikole) Dalton; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his extended family from Forest Construction.
Visitation will take place between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Monday, October 7, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. McMahon Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, online condolence messages may be shared at McMahonFH.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
