Robert Bertrand

Robert "Bob" L Bertrand, 83, New Franken, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Bob was born on October 28, 1940, in Green Bay to the late Robert P. and Angeline B. (Heim) Bertrand. He married the love of his life Sandra A. Rank on June 13, 1964, at St. Kilian Church, New Franken.

Bob was a member of Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement. He worked for Tape Incorporated for 43 years. The business started when Bob opened the door, and the business closed when he shut the door upon his retirement in 2003. Bob later worked for the Town of Scott until 2019. Bob loved playing cards, snowmobiling, camping, hunting, and helping on the family farms. He enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Bob also loved his outings with the over the hill gang and his coffee clutch, but nothing topped the time spent with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandy; his children Paul (Lori) Bertrand, Amy (Randy) Buhr, and Angela Dhuey; grandchildren Alycia (Alex) Zellner, Dani (Kyle) McFall, Brooke (Special Friend Ben Hoida) Bertrand, Josie, Riley, Harper, and Spencer; great grandchildren Ella and Grant; brothers Dick (Karen) Bertrand, Gerald (Arletta) Bertrand; sisters Pat Vandenhouten, Carol (Gary) Margotto, Marion Jauquet; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Marvin Kinnard, and Roger (Barb) Rank; nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his infant son, Patrick; his parents Robert and Angeline Bertrand; father-in-law and mother-in-law Felix and Anna Rank; his sister Donna Kinnard; brothers-in-law Ray Vandenhouten and Hub Jauquet.

Friends may call between 4:00 and 6:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement. Closing prayer service at 6:00 pm with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement. Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Abbot Gary Neville O.Praem. officiating. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Church Cemetery.
