Robert Julian Loritz

Robert J. Loritz, 81 of Dyckesville, died peacefully, Sunday evening, August 26, 2018. He was born in Namur on April 11, 1937 to the late Frank and Lema (Delwiche) Loritz. In July of 1956 Robert married Virginia M. Retzlaff at Holy Cross Church, she preceded him in death on March 14, 1968. On April 11, 1970 Robert then married Juliana D. VandenHouten at St. Louis Church in Dyckesville. He was employed with Van’s Lumber in Dyckesville for 46 years. He loved bowling, his time spent at the cabin, deer hunting and trout fishing. Following retirement Robert took on the task of grounds keeper at St. Joseph Church in Champion. He also enjoyed going to breakfast after church. He cherished his friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Julie and his children, Dale (Tina) Loritz, Green Bay; Dave (Sandi) Loritz, New Franken; Tom (special friend, Cathei Mincheski) Loritz, Luxemburg; Rick Loritz, Green Bay; Bob (Donna) Loritz, New Franken; Christine “Tina” Motquin, New Franken; 14 grandchildren, Jason (Karen) Loritz, Justin (Jessica) Loritz, Jodi (Andrew) Wallace, Chad (fiancée, Alaina) Loritz, Jamie Loritz, Stephen (special friend, Lauren) Loritz, Jessica (Paul) Paque, Jeff (Shannon) Loritz, Patrick (fiancée, Skyla) Loritz, Alyssa (A.J.) Simonar, Megan Loritz, Amiee (special friend, Layton) Loritz, Will Motquin and Ethan Motquin; eight great-grandchildren, Parker, Payton, Penny, Jordan, Kaylynn, Allie, Abby and Anna, sisters in law and brothers in law, Patricia Vincent, Green Bay; Jeanette Dequaine, Bay Settlement; Wallace (Erna) VandenHouten, Green Bay; Kilton (Monica) VandenHouten, Brussels; Glory Wautlet, Green Bay; Gary (Lori) VandenHouten, Green Bay; nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by two brothers in law, Galen Vincent and Wayne Dequaine. Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Louis Church in Dyckesville on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm with Pat Ratajczak, Pastoral Leader. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am at St. Louis Church on Friday, August 31, 2018. Funeral 11:00 am on Friday at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating with Pat Ratajczak, Pastoral Leader assisting. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
