Robert “Bob” Suess, 91, of Pilsen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 15, 1932, to the late Mathias J. “Mike” & Rose (Stodola) Suess. He married Rita M. Mleziva on August 23, 1958, at St. Joseph Church, Pilsen. She preceded him in death on August 19, 1987. Bob graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1951, where he played trumpet in the band and sang in the choir. He was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph Church, Pilsen, where he served as the organist, participated in the church choir, served as an usher and trustee. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society. Bob had a love for music, sharing his tenor voice with the Green Bay Baylander Barbershop Chorus for over 30 years, along with several Quartets and Octets. He previously sang with the Dudley Birder Chorale in Green Bay. Bob operated the family farm in Pilsen for over 40 years. After his retirement from farming, he continued actively working. His favorite position being his current role with Costco. He is survived by his three children: Cindy (Graeme Robertson) Suess of Oshkosh; Tom (Wendy) Suess of Luxemburg; and Sally (Steve) Tomte of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Breanna (Ethan) Peters, Tyler Suess and Nicole Tomte. He is further survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Suess, Claude & Terry Mleziva, Larry & Nancy Mleziva, Roger Mleziva and several nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Rita Suess; his parents Mike & Rose Suess; father-in-law and mother-in-law Louis & Beatrice Mleziva; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank & Theresa Suess, Jim & Mary Suess, Leo & Julia Suess, Julius & Marie Suess, Mike & Marge Suess, Eddie Suess and Helen Mleziva; one sister and brother-in-law Rosemary (Ray) Roidt. Friends may call 11:30 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph – St. John Site, Pilsen. Prayer service 2:00 pm. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Monday, January 15, 2024, at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, in Pilsen. Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Rev.
