Robert C. Thiry

June 17, 1984 — May 3, 2024

Robert Charles Thiry, 39, Luxemburg, a treasured son, brother, fiancé, father, uncle and friend, was called to heaven on Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1984, in Kewaunee, WI to Lynn Ann Thompson (Thiry) and Robert Ira Thiry on Fathers’ Day. He took his name, Robert, from his father and paternal grandfather, Robert William Thiry, and Charles, from his maternal grandfather, Charles Tracy Thompson. Many of his close and childhood friends know him by his nickname,”BobChuck”.  Bob and his brother, Edward Francis Thiry, have been best friends since Bob laid eyes on him and enjoyed both working and having fun together. They accompanied each other in boy scouts, 4-H and through many other experiences, projects, adventures, and shenanigans. Bob was so proud to welcome Eddy’s wife into the family in June of 2013, Dr. Gesina Juliane Helena (Zech) Thiry. The title “Uncle” was later added to his name with the birth of his niece Elliana Veleda Julie Thiry and was awaiting his future nephew. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Emily Marie Seidl, and she gave him three wonderful gifts: Robert Alois IV, Olivia Lucile, and Joseph William. Bob was forever grateful for the mother she is for their children. Bob loved his children more than anything.  Bob and his fiancé, Shannon Claire Malott cared very much for health and safety for their loved ones. They had plans of taking over a farm in fall and marrying next year. Bob was a strong and loving father figure in the lives of Shannon’s children, Clayton Werner and especially his stepdaughter Nora Rose. He found great joy in providing fun and educational hands-on experiences for his three wonderful children. He liked cooking for them, spending time on the beach and in the snow, building them things, and just being silly and kicking back together. Bob was an honest, smart, strong, caring, hardworking, supportive, problem-solving angel for everyone he knew, especially his family.  He was an Eagle Scout, earned the rank of Black Beret in the US Military Explorers by age 16 and was a member of the Army National Guard.  He studied frame and finish carpentry at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and was a builder, remodeler, landlord, house flipper, and realtor who took great pride in his work. Bob loved finding the perfect properties for his clients as well as for many of his friends and family. Bob cared very much about the environment, nutrition and his loved ones. He was looking forward to operating an organic farm that would provide safe food for many families and experiencing many other joys of life with Shannon, his children and the rest of our loved ones. Bob will be in our hearts and minds forever. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor Bob’s memory at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Rd., Luxemburg, WI 54217, on Saturday, May 11, 2024.  Visitation 8:30 am to 10:15 am, with a funeral service at 10:30 with Rev.
