Roland J De Cremer

June 9, 1928 — April 13, 2021

Roland J. De Cremer, 92 of Dyckesville, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday evening, April 13, 2021. He was born in the town of Red River, June 9, 1928, to the late George and Rose (DeBaker) De Cremer. On June 15, 1949, Roland married Irene J. Splingaire at St. Mary of the Snows Church in Fairland, currently named Namur. He served his country between 1952 and 1954 in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Roland had a life passion for farming especially loving the outdoors. His yard surrounded by his wife’s flowers, was often referred to as “their sanctuary”. Roland, while farming, also was employed with Algoma Hardwoods Co. for 27 years. Not letting grass grow beneath his feet at retirement, he worked at the Royal Scot Golf Course, he shuttled folks from the airport to their destination and held a custodian position at the Oneida Casino. Rollie was always very active his entire life, loved travelling, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. Survivors include his wife of 71 plus years, Irene; their children, Debbie (Denis) Boehm, Lyle (Lou Ann) De Cremer; two grandchildren, Ryan (fiancée Kate) Boehm, Jesse (Abby) Boehm; one great-grandchild, two sisters, Virgil Charles, Virginia Cochart; nieces and nephews. Roland was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers in law, Clarence Charles and Melvin Cochart; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Splingaire; four brothers in law and two sisters in law. Friends may call between 9:30 and 11:20 am on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. Funeral service 11:30 am on Wednesday with entombment to follow at the Mausoleum. Covid-19 virus precautions will remain in place, social distancing, sanitizing and wear a face covering when in the building, please.
