Ronald “Ron” J. Renard, 80, Luxemburg, passed away on Thursday morning, Dec. 2, 2021, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born August 14, 1941, in Namur to Fred J. and Louise M. (Fabry) Renard. On September 9, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart Marilyn J. Wautier at St. Francis Church in Brussels. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Ron was the youngest licensed cheese marker in Kewaunee County employed with Casco Cheese, in 1960 at the age of 19. He worked for Pauly’s Cheese as a state cheese grader for 18 years. Ron and his wife started Ron’s Wisconsin Cheese in 1976 and ran the business till his retirement. He was a charter member of the Luxemburg Lions Club. He was member of The Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce and was awarded “Man of the Year” in 2012. He served as Town Supervisor for the Town of Union. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting season with family, Dart Ball, playing cards especially Cuyoo and spending time with family and friends. He always looked forward to his yearly winter vacation with his wife and special friends. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Marilyn and their four children, Todd (Alice) Renard Luxemburg; Tim (Jody) Renard, New Franken; Terry (Mara) Renard, Luxemburg; Kim (Joel) Doell, Casco; six grandchildren, Bethany (Dustin) Everard, Karissa (Kyle) Buresh, Morgan Renard, Ian Doell, Mason Renard, Logan Doell; three great grandchildren, Owen, Ella and Layla; one brother, Howard Renard; brothers in law and sisters in law, Sharon and Larry Jauquet, Theresa and Jim Gartman, Joe and Bev Wautier, Clarice and Bill Brey, Jim and Penny Wautier; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother in law and father in law, Ethel and Norman Wautier; sister in law, Angela Renard; brother in law John Wautier; godson, Robert Renard; great niece Carrie Renard.
