Scott H Lemminger

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Scott Howard Lemminger, of Green Bay, WI. on November 28th, 2020 losing his brave battle against the complications of his fight with Leukemia. He passed peacefully with his devoted wife, Julie (nee Tesch), and loving sister Chris, by his side. Scott “Scotty” was born June 19th, 1959 in Brown Deer, WI. He met the love of his life, Julie, in high school and the two were married June 27th, 1981. Scott continued his education attending college at UW Milwaukee where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He began building his career in retail at H.C. Prange Co., Rockford, IL and in 1984 settled in Green Bay, taking a corporate textiles buyer position for Prange’s. From the knowledge he gained at Prange’s, Scott advanced his career into Shaw Industries Inc. becoming a Shaw Floors Territory Manager. For the last 30 years Scott developed strong relationships with many of his great customers turning them into unwavering friendships that he took great pride in. Scott loved the outdoors, especially in the summer time. Together, Scott and Julie enjoyed their Sturgeon Bay condo they share with Scott’s sister Chris and husband Craig. Scott’s special phrase, “It’s another beautiful day in Door Country” resonated through the many wonderful times he and Julie spent at the condo, for their door was always open to family and friends. Some of Scott’s most cherished memories were those spent with his nephews and niece, particularly hearing their laughter and excitement while tubing, swimming and catching bass in the pond. He also enjoyed musky fishing at the family cabin at Spider Lake. Scott also had a passion for Offshore boat racing and thoroughly enjoyed participating in many Sturgeon Bay Poker Run events, in the different performance boats he owned over the years. In 2019 Scott was able to cross off an item on his ‘bucket list’ by trailering his 50’ Hustler performance boat down to the Lake of the Ozarks and mingle with the Offshore Powerboat Racing teams. Scott drove his boat alongside them and their incredible power boats on the open waters during their practice runs. There are many pictures of Scott smiling from ear to ear on this achievement. Scott’s strong work ethic carried over with his willingness to always help friends and family with projects. Over the years Scott made great friendships enjoying them on boating trips across Lake Michigan, climbing the 450-foot Sleep Bear Sand Dune, traveling to St. John and Virgin Gorda, snorkeling the huge rock formations of ‘The Baths’, to relaxing at the local Jazz Festival. Scott was loved by so many, he had a heart of gold, and always a smile on his face, especially when satisfying his ‘sweet tooth’ with his love for chocolate. Scotty loved life and everyone in it. Even as he courageously fought this ever-changing undefined battle, his spirits were high, reassuring all of us; “It’s OK, I’ve had a great life.” But for all of us left behind, we will cherish those memories and they will forever be in our hearts. ‘We love you Scott and miss you very much! Your smile, great nature, kind heart, work ethic and loyalty are an inspiration to us all and will never be forgotten. Until we see you again our dear friend (husband, son, brother, and uncle), please rest in peace.” Scott was preceded in death by his Mother Charleen (nee Braunschweig), infant older brother Al, Brother-in-Law Jorge; Grandparents Alphonse and Marie Lemminger and Ida and Carl Braunschweig, and parents-in-law Arlon and Virginia Tesch. Scott leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Julie, his Father Al (Carol) Lemminger of Hayward, sisters Kathy Ahuactzin of Yuma AZ, Jayne Lemminger of West Bend, and Chris (Craig) Reese of Colgate; two sisters in law and two brothers in law, Pam Smith of Wesley Chapel, FL; a Sue (Kevin) Tess of Pewaukee; Jeff Tesch of Brighton, CO. His special nieces and nephews, Dr. Lisa Ahuactzin (Bill Graves) of Marana, AZ, Jorge Mark (Kimberley) Ahuactzin and Jeffrey Ahuactzin of Yuma, AZ, Tony (Lesley) Lemminger of Horicon; Craig, Eric, Danny, and Mae Reese; Michael O’Brien of Brighton, CO, and Jessica (Eric) Butterer of Tampa, FL; great-nephew and nieces; Jack, Beth, Stephanie Ahuactzin, Sara Graves, and Leo Butterer, and Barb Tesch (parent-in-law Arlon’s wife), along with many wonderful cousins, friends, and customers. A Special Thanks to everyone who helped us through this very difficult time. We couldn’t have managed as we did without all the cards, letters, emails, texts, yard work, grocery shopping and well wishes. A private memorial service will be held.
