Sheila M. Hoppe, 56, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 15, 2022. She was born April 9, 1966, to Gerald and Joan (Krines) Ledvina of Pilsen Wi. Sheila grew up on the family dairy farm which she always took great pride in. She married Alan M. Hoppe on November 13, 1988, at St. Joseph Church in Pilsen. She was a 1984 graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School and then on to NWTC. Sheila was a familiar face at the front of the house at Billy’s on Main in Luxemburg, where she worked alongside her husband. Her favorite saying was “if they don’t leave happy, I am not doing my job”. She had a great admiration for the many customers and loyal staff. She enjoyed her time on the board of the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce, serving a term as the President. She assisted her husband in their hobby business, Luxemburg Printing. She loved simple pleasures in life, lawn and garden work, trips to the cottage, and making her famous Metanky. Her children and grandchildren were always a great source of her happiness. Survivors include her husband of thirty four years, Al and their children, Aaron (Carley) Hoppe, Suamico; Anna (Jared) Mathis, Denmark; Alex Hoppe, Luxemburg; four grandchildren, Adeline, Jay, Emmersyn and Wynn; her parents, Gerald and Joan Ledvina; two brothers, Gregg (Sally) Ledvina, Kevin (Jamie) Ledvina; two sisters, Sherry (Ron) Willems, Sara Lade; two sisters in law, Judy Paris, Jan (Dale “Puppy” Reckelberg) Smithwick; nieces and nephews further survive. Sheila was preceded in death by, her childhood sister Susie Ledvina; her mother in law and father in law, Jean and Elroy Hoppe; one brother in law, Jim Brockway; her grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles. Sheila continued her nature of compassion for others, as she was an organ donor, in her passing. Friends may call 6:45 to 8:30 pm on Sunday (Today) evening, December 18, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg. Closing parish prayer service 8:30 pm on Sunday. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Monday, December 19, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church, Luxemburg. Funeral service 11:00 am on Monday with Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Luxemburg. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund will be established in Sheila’s name.
