Suzanne M Jonet

April 22, 1949 — January 30, 2021

Suzanne “Sue” M. Jonet, 71, Luxemburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at a local hospital. She was born in Algoma on April 22, 1949 to the late James J. and Margaret M. (La Crosse) Tombal. Following graduation from Algoma High School in Spring of 1967, she married her soulmate and love of her life, Thomas “Tom” L. Jonet on November 11, 1967, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Algoma. After working as a part time CNA and mother, she was hired and employed with the A. C. Nielsen Company for 30 plus years until the company downsized in August of 2012. Retiring in 2013, she enjoyed many breakfasts, dinners and get together events with her best friends, Barb, Brenda and Deb. She also enjoyed the monthly Nielsen Retiree breakfast or margarita times with them. She joined LLI at UWGB, registering for many courses offered through LLI or participated in volunteer duties offed via the LLI curriculum. Sue enjoyed the many people she met during this journey. Sue enjoyed spending time with her daughter, granddaughters and family which included many trips. She loved traveling with her husband, brother in law and sister in law (Jim and Gail), over the years. Favorites were trips to the Southwest Parks Tour and their 45th Anniversary Alaskan Tour. Her hands never idle, Sue loved to crochet, create ceramics, solve crossword and word search puzzles and the daily news jumble. Her favorite pastime was curling up to read a good book, one never far from her side. She enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers to victory and was a proud Packer shareholder. Go Pack Go! Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Tom; their daughter, Connie (Terry) A. Hearly; two granddaughters, Catarina (Philip) Zellner; Jayde (Bradley) Southard; three great grandchildren, Aubrey, Bryson and Kendall; two brothers in law, Andy Doering, James J. (Gail) Jonet Sr.; three sisters in law, Terrie Flessert, Jean (Brent) Alberts, Joan (Jerry) Diederich; special nephew, Noel S. Daring; nieces and nephews and cousins further survive. Sue was preceded in death by one son, Jayme Jonet; one granddaughter, Samantha K. Heraly; her parents, James and Margaret Tombal; one sister, Diane (Tombal) Doering; her father in law and mother in law, Pete and Lucy Jonet. Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 9:00 to 10:45 am on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Private family rosary service at 11:00 am on Saturday with Marty Berceau.
