Vilaria M. Romuald

On Friday December 15, 2023. at the age of 91, Our Lord, along with his angels, lifted our Mom into his arms & carried her home in Heaven. Our father, Ron “Buddy” and our brother Randy were waiting to greet her. We gave them our most precious gift. Vilaria M. Romuald was born October 16, 1932, to the late John H. & Odile C. (Guilette) Wery in Dyckesville. On June 16, 1954, she married our dad, Ronald “Buddy” Romuald at Holy Trinity Church in Casco. He preceded her in death Sept 1, 1999, and our brother Randy on February 16, 2003. Her passion was sewing, and we thank every one of you for allowing her to do what she loved right till the end of time here on earth. Without all of you she would never been able to do what she loved for all these years. A member of St. Joseph Church in Champion, she served on the Social Committee, helped at church picnics and was part of St. Anne’s Society. She loved working in her flower gardens and doing crossword puzzles. She greatly enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gary “Rocky” (Robin) Romuald, Kathy (Fran) Dufek, Ken (Chris) Romuald, Diane Romuald (fiancé Dennis Degrave). She is further survived by 11 grandchildren -Paul (Rachel) Romuald, Bob (Jackie) Romuald, Aaron (Kassie) Dufek, Melanie Dufek, Carrie (Josh) Gille, Kelli (Jesse) Johnson, Nicole (Kraig) Kinnard, Josh (Cassandra) Romuald, Ryan (Chelsea) Romuald, Katy Romuald & Trenton Rueckl. 13 great-grandchildren, Brockston Dufek, Ellasyn, Adaley & Maverik Dufek, Lachlan & Iver Gille, Brynn & Crew Kinnard, Ruxon Johnson, Felix Romuald & Hadley Romuald & 2 Step Great Grandchildren Dylan & Logan Roberts. Further survived by her brother and sister-in-law Ronald & Judy Wery & sister-in-law Judy Wery, Mary Wery and Marilyn Romuald. Many loving nieces and nephews and friends. She is proceeded in death by her parents John & Odile Wery, her sister Verle (Donald) Dax, brothers John Wery, Larry (Elaine) Wery, Arlen Wery; Buddy’s parents Louis & Cecelia Romuald, brothers- in- law & sisters-In-Law Arnold (Marie) Romuald, Louis & Donald Romuald, Lavern Sconzert. Friends may call at St. Joseph Church, Champion on Thursday, December 21, 2023, between 9:00 and 10:45 am. Funeral 11:00 am on Thursday at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Champion. Special thanks to Jeanette Dubois & Karen Hucek for always taking time to help our Mom…it meant the world to her. From Mom to all her children….
