Wayne H. Hafeman, 81, Luxemburg, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, November 15, 2024. He was born in Algoma on January 7, 1943, to the late Harold H. and Helen M. (Knutson) Hafeman. On June 12, 1965, he married Priscilla Havel at St. Peter Church in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2007. Wayne served his country in the United States Army from 1961-1964.
Wayne briefly worked at Algoma Hardwoods, and later was employed as a law enforcement officer with the Kewaunee County Sheriffs Department until his retirement.
Wayne's enjoyments included watching football, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Wayne, strong in his faith, was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Algoma.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Miller, Green Bay; one daughter-in-law, Patti (Fiancé Don Birmingham) Hafeman, New Franken; five grandchildren Casi Hafeman, Kyle (Fiancée Amber) Hafeman, Claire Hafeman, Miranda Miller, Riley Miller; two great grandsons, Harlo and Hayes Hafeman; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Barry Hafeman, Mary Jo Hafeman, Linda Teske; one sister Beverly Neinas; Havel family members, Jerome Havel, Joyce La Crosse, Jo Ann Havel; Nieces and nephews further survive.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Priscilla; his son Scott Hafeman; his two brothers, Dennis Hafeman, Mark Hafeman; one sister-in-law, Jane Hafeman; one brother-in-law Jerry Neinas; Havel family members, Bob Havel, Evelyn Havel, Dale La Crosse; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Arthur and Louise Havel.
Friends may call between 9:30 - 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at The Shrine of the Good Shephard Mausoleum, Bay Settlement. Funeral service 11:45 am, Tuesday with Pastor John Moll officiating. Entombment to follow with complete military honors provided by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg.
