Elmer O. Salzsieder Elmer Otto Salzsieder, 92, formerly of Luxemburg died early Friday morning, August 12, 2016 at a Kewaunee Nursing Home. He was born May 31, 1924 in Kewaunee County to the late Albert and Louise (Gruetzmacher) Salzsieder. On November 10, 1948 he married Rita LeLou at St. Hubert Church in Sugar Bush. She preceded him in death on September 27, 1991. Elmer operated a dairy farm in the town of Montpelier and was employed with Kewaunee Fabrication until his retirement in 1984. Survivors include two children, Wayne (Bonnie) Salzsieder, Luxemburg; Debbie Salzsieder, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Aaron (Lindsey) Salzsieder, Amy Salzsieder, Thomas (Linda) Salzsieder, Joseph (Crystal) Salzsieder; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Kuchenbecker, Fort Atkinson; three sisters in law, Verna Salzsieder, Denmark; Natalie Salzsieder, Oconto; Dorothy Salzsieder, Kewaunee; numerous brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces and nephews also survive. Elmer was preceded in death by one son, Mark Salzsieder; five brothers, Clarence Salzsieder, Elroy Salzsieder, Ornie Salzsieder, Lester Salzsieder, Leroy Salzsieder; two sisters and three brothers in law, Elda (Edward) Baumann, Cora (Otto Sr.) Mueller, Arthur Kuchenbecker. Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 between 9:00 and 10:45 am. Funeral 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.
